Nigeria – DEME – Tender Design Shore Protection Ilubirin Island Phase I+II

  • 1

IBISPAIN Ltd. are developing the artificial Ilubirin Island in the Lagos Lagoon. At this moment, already a part of this island has been reclaimed. The island will be constructed in two phases. The reclamation will be subject to both flow and waves and hence undesirable erosion can be expected without proper shoreline protection.
In this proposal, CDR International B.V. offers engineering services to perform a Tender Design study for the shore protection of Ilubirin island for both phase I and II to ensure the stability of the island boundaries with the lagoon.
It is proposed to execute this project in three phases to determine a technically viable, economic and sustainable design for the shore protection.

CDR provided a Tender Design for the shore protection of the Ilubirin island for both phase I and II that ensures the stability of the island for a design lifetime of 60 years, in which CDR divided the scope in three main items;
A. Design Basis
B. Shoreline Protection Design Options
C. Tender Design
