Nigeria – HiTech – Coastal Protection Maiyegun Beach Estate

The beach front of the development is located in between the 9th and 13th groyne of the existing groyne scheme reaching from Eko Atlantic in the west to Alpha Beach in the east. Although this coastal protection scheme is in place, coastal retreat of the concerned estate’s shoreline is observed and wave action in the surf-zone (within the groyne pockets) is too rough and not swimmable.
Successful development of the Maiyegun Beach Estate depends on solid coastal protection that accommodates beaches for recreational use. The Client requested CDR to carry out a Preliminary Design study of Coastal Protection works for safeguarding of Beaches for Maiyegun Beach Estate Development.
